This will be the HORSEtrac connection during large-scale disasters, such as hurricanes, wildfires, floods, etc.
During these difficult and overwhelming natural disasters, it is crucial for displaced owners to be able to find the recovery center where their horses are being held.
It is also crucial for rescue teams and veterinarians to be able to locate owners.
"Lost and Found" will be available during these trying times, offering a cross-reference service.
Microchip numbers will be used to connect horse and owner, working both ways between rescue teams and owners.
This is also the location where HORSEtrac members will have a picture and description posted if their horse is missing for any reason, separate from a major disaster.
